We’ve gone for a classic British cake for our Birthday Cake tea - the much loved Victoria sponge! It’s got everything you need - light fluffy cake sandwiched with a layer of sweet and tangy raspberry jam and lashings of vanilla buttercream frosting. All of this creamy goodness is of course finished with cute birthday sprinkles.
Tasting Notes: Vanilla & Raspberry
100°C + 1 heaped teaspoon + steep 3-4 minutes
Pour 250ml of 100°C water over 1 heaped teaspoon of loose leaf tea (approx. 3g of tea). Steep for 3-4 minutes, or until desired strength of brew.
