In order to brew loose leaf tea you will need either; an infuser (tea for one), a teapot with an infuser (tea to share) or you can even brew loose leaf in your own little tea pouches (ideal for when you are out and about).
The different varieties of tea require different brewing times as well as different temperatures of water. To make it simple we have created this table below:
This may differ depending on how strong or weak you like your tea (use more tea leaves for a stronger flavour), and due to their quality many of our tea leaves can be steeped more than once which is a bonus!
Based on our recommendations our small packs of tea should give you around 20 delicious cups and our large packs contain twice the amount, so 40 cups.
Some of our teas may contain allergens, for example certain teas contain nuts or chocolate pieces (which may contain dairy/soya). Allergens are stated in bold within the ingredients list on the particular teas product page and are clearly marked on the tea packet itself.
Please bear in mind that our teas are not packed in certified nut- or dairy-free environments and we cannot guarantee that during packing our teas haven't come into contact with any allergens.
All of our teas are suitable for vegans. We always use vegan friendly alternatives to dairy, such as tasty cacao nibs in our chocolate teas.
As a rule of thumb your tea will stay fresh and maintain its flavour for around 6 months to 1 year from the date of purchase. The sooner you drink after purchase, the fresher and tastier the tea will be. They do not 'go off', they may just loose flavour as time goes on.
In order to keep your tea as fresh as possible remember to reseal the pouches after using and store the tea in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Originating from the Western Cape of South Africa, Rooibos (or Redbush) grows fine, needle like leaves that have long been used to brew tea.
Rooibos tea is growing in popularity around the globe due to its various health benefits, high levels of antioxidants and the fact that it is naturally caffeine free.
Matcha is made from finely ground green tea leaves that were grown in the shade, which allows the leaves to maintain the most nutrients.
Matcha is said to have over 10 times the antioxidant properties of regular green tea and has one of the highest antioxidant scores among all superfoods.

At Born Wild Tea we have many flavoured tea blends, these blends have added ingredients to make your brew as delicious and as unique as possible.
Our tea blends are flavoured with fruit (e.g. apple pieces), herbs and spices (e.g. mint, cinnamon and cacao nibs), oils (e.g. bergamot oil) and even fun pieces like chocolate and caramel chunks. We do not use any artificial flavouring in our tea blends as we like to keep things natural.
We love both straight teas and flavoured teas but we understand that some people prefer tea without flavour, and in that case we have a great classic tea range to choose from.
If you are feeling adventurous and want to try some fun flavours you may be interested in our tastebud tease box.
